The 2021 FTF Awards Winners Unveiled!


FTF is proud to announce the winners of the 2021 FTF News Technology Innovation Awards competition.

The Financial Technologies Forum (FTF) is proud to announce that operational excellence and major achievements in financial technology innovation have increased in 2020, as evidenced by the winners of the FTF News Technology Innovation Awards 2021 competition.

Now in its tenth year, the winners of the FTF Awards competition will be announced today June 7th and will be honored for their achievements in a very difficult year of pandemic-related challenges.

The FTF Awards break new ground with two non-competitive categories.

To recognize the humanitarian efforts of key players in the securities industry, FTFTF The FTF News Philanthropic Award.

The first prize winner is the investment bank Jefferies group, who hosted a Global Coronavirus Relief Charity Day in May 2020 and donated $ 9.25 million to more than 85 charities and relief efforts focused on those suffering from the COVID-19 virus. The company dedicated these efforts to memory Mr. Peregrine "Peg" Broadbent, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Jefferies Group LLC, who died of complications related to COVID-19 early last year.

Broadbent, 56, served "as CFO and partner" for "more than a dozen years," helping us build Jefferies less than half its current size and navigating hard and good times, "a joint statement said by Rich Handler, CEO, and Brian Friedman, President of Jefferies Financial Group, released March 2020.

In another first that Editor's Choice Award is handed over to an industry organization that Fintech B2B Marketing Community, a new group for marketers specializing in the financial technology industry. The award recognizes the continuing spirit of innovation.

The Fintech B2B Marketing Community was founded by Payal Raina, Torstone Technology's global director of marketing, and was launched in August 2020.

The group "offers its members a unique platform to build and expand a network of marketing professionals, to exchange knowledge and best practices, to train, learn and develop marketing careers through the mentoring program in the niche fintech sector", according to the LinkedIn page of Group https://bit.ly/3vUpceX The website of the organization can be found here: https://fintechb2bmarketing.com/

Overall, the industry's response to the FTF Awards 2021 continues to set records.

China’s new space station opens for business in an increasingly competitive era of space activity

South Korea's Yoon slams response to North drones, vows to create drone unit

SEOUL, Dec 27 (Reuters) - South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Tuesday he would advance the creation of a military unit specializing in drones, criticizing the military response to a border intrusion by North Korean drones. Five North Korean drones crossed into South Korea on Monday, prompting Seoul to scramble fighter jets and attack helicopters, and try to shoot them down, in the first such intrusion since 2017. The incident rekindled questions about South Korea's air defenses at a time when it is trying to rein in the North's evolving nuclear and missile threats.
