University of Hartford team wins Spencer-RIMS award
A team of students from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut ranked first against 18 other university teams and won the highest award in the Spencer-RIMS Risk Management Challenge 2021. The winning team was announced on Friday by New York-based Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. during the final of the 2021 online conference. The student teams competed by providing solutions to a case study on managing citizen risk developed by the RIMS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council. The winning team included Aliyah Abdullah, Semra Boluk, Nicholas Bosio, Yoanny Brito and Ken Goldstein, academic advisor and clinical trainer in risk management and insurance at Hartford University's Barney School of Business.
