Building a Community of Successful Traders through Insightful Online Trading Courses
Nkondog Anselme Venceslas: Building a community of successful traders through insightful online trading courses

Salix Nigra is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) registered in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon, with an active presence in the USA, where it is also registered. It is a young and small investment firm whose main aim is to encourage and educate investment. The company also offers high quality investment and trading courses to young Africans ready to learn and build careers based on trading.
The main activity of the company is investing in the financial markets in the form of a fund manager and as a proprietary trading company.
In addition, Salix Nigra is a well-known trade education center in Cameroon. The company wants to build a community of good and successful traders as this activity develops in its region. Salix Nigra believes this is the best time to prepare some of her brothers and sisters for future challenges and to allow others to build wealth of their own in the long run.
Salix Nigra also offers a full offshore company registration service for non-residents looking to invest in Cameroon, US, UK and Europe but having difficulty traveling or not wanting to travel at all. The company acts as your local representative for this activity.
A self-made leader
Nkondog Anselme Venceslas is a self-made online retailer and machine learning engineer with a postgraduate diploma in business law from the University of Dschang, Cameroon. He started trading in 2008. After several years of hard work, Nkondog finally found his way and decided to start Salix Nigra with some good friends; the co-founders Mvondo Dany and Melanie Puemedji, who believed in him and in the project in 2017.
Nkondog is the CEO and CIO (Chief Investment Officer) of Salix Nigra. He is responsible for the company's investment activities and also ensures the allocation of funds in the right market, adapts the company's portfolio closely and maintains constant relationships with its investors.
The trade training center is also under his care, so Nkondog actively participates as one of the trainers.
Failures shape your career
Before Salix Nigra, Nkondog had started several companies that failed. He ended up getting frustrated many times and looking for jobs nationally and internationally. He had to start over several times. Nkondog believes that his mistakes as an early business owner, work experience in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as a quant developer and as a software engineer responsible for several machine learning and AI projects helped him a lot to be the what he is today. He learned how to treat others properly, how to manage projects, how to surround himself with good people and how to be profitable in the financial markets. As an independent trader in a poor country, it has been very difficult for Nkondog to gain access to financial markets and understand how they work. He had to go through these difficult experiences in order to provide the best possible trade education to Africans and other residents of less developed countries who want to be successful in this field. He believes that their realities do not coincide with those in developed countries and therefore education needs to be contextualized.
Overcoming financial and personal challenges
As with most other small and young businesses, the first challenge the company faced was funding, according to Nkondog. “Our investment vision does not match that of less developed countries. People need quick money and are focused on a quick investment system and very reluctant to take the approach to capital growth, ”says Nkondog.
Another challenge was the floor staff. He mentions that it was and still is very difficult to find qualified dealers in Cameroon. It's so difficult that the company had to set up its trading school to train and recruit traders.
Last but not least, Nkondog says their financial system is very out of date and money transfers are valued highly, which can sometimes be an obstacle to their activities.
The leaders of tomorrow will be characterized by empathy and good listening
Nkondog believes, “Every leader should have a vision. You should be able to know where the path is going and share it with employees. The leader must also have the ability to communicate; know what to say, when and how to say it. Being a good listener is important. You should take responsibility for the projects, be self-disciplined and empowering. Empathy is also an important characteristic of good leadership. A leader should care about their employees' feelings. You should be resilient and courageous and not give up so easily. After all, a leader should be passionate about what they do. "
Advanced solutions to attract the target audience
Nkondog confirms that Salix Nigra tries to be open and friendly with its target audience. Transparency and honesty, in an industry where dream sales are the norm, is what the company adds around its services. The team also keeps its investors and customers close at all times.
Disruptive technologies that influence today's innovation
Artificial intelligence is widespread in all sectors and the financial sector is not excluded. The company is constantly looking for a good market forecasting model that can consistently beat the markets. It applies machine learning models to observe and analyze potential investment opportunities.
The future ahead
Salix Nigra will be one of the best investment companies in Central Africa and a reference in trading and investment education. Nkondog believes he can see the company internationalize. Online investments have a very bright future in developing countries. There is still too much to be done and the company believes it will make an important contribution to the development of this industry in their country.
Broadcasting important advice to aspiring leaders
"My advice is that the aspiring leaders define a clear vision and surround themselves with those who believe in them and are willing to take the risk together," says Nkondog.
