Senior DevOps Engineer at Private
SRE DevOps engineers take a software development approach to operations. We are responsible for creating, deploying and executing all service platforms and services. Optimizing system reliability, performance and security is our responsibility. Therefore, we focus heavily on observability, automation, scalable architecture and tools.
Key roles and responsibilities
With an IaC (Infrastructure as Code) approach, you can design, design, and implement a highly automated, cloud-based deployment and operation model.
Be a strong advocate of an SRE culture with our development, operations and development teams.
First, learn how to automate the deployment, setup, and configuration of applications and infrastructures.
Hone your scripting, coding, and systems administration skills further and apply them to reduce time to market for services.
Assistance in the identification and investigation of new technologies and the associated migration paths in order to provide cost-effective and scalable solutions
Assess and document the impact, threats and opportunities for the company.
Create reports and technology roadmaps and share knowledge and insights with others.
Advice, guidance and expertise to promote the introduction of methods and tools as well as compliance with guidelines and standards.
Evaluate and select appropriate methods and tools according to the agreed guidelines and standards.
Maintain reviews of the benefits and value of methods, tools, and identities, and recommend improvements.
Contribute to organizational guidelines, standards, and guidelines for methodologies and tools.
Addresses problems and issues, manages solutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and collects and disseminates relevant information.

Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services / Microsoft Azure
Related experience working with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, DynamoDB, System Manager, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, API Gateway and CloudWatch
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ATTRIBUTES:
Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services / Microsoft Azure
Related experience working with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, DynamoDB, System Manager, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, API Gateway and CloudWatch
Good knowledge of infrastructure design, including network, storage and compute layers.
Knowledge and experience across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Chef, Salt, and Jenkins' experience with at least one automated deployment tool is highly regarded.
Good knowledge of infrastructure as code technologies such as CloudFormation / Terraform
Expert level experience with PowerShell / Python / Bash scripts
Extensive experience with Microsoft server and Linux platforms with a focus on automation and orchestration
Basic knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases
Experience with source control and build systems, GitLab CI / CD and Azure DevOps are highly regarded.
Experience in evaluating and integrating new technologies and products
Proven experience with Hyper Scaler Cloud IaaS and PaaS. Azure and AWS Experience are highly regarded.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Usually requires demonstrable relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree. or moderate experience and a Masters or equivalent degree; or a doctorate or equivalent with no experience; or equivalent work experience.
